Vita

 

 

Heidi Adrian was born in Görlitz in 1944 and grew up in Mannheim. Since 1977 she has been living in Bonn-Bad Godesberg. She spent several years in the USA (Long Island/New York) and in Africa (Dakar/Senegal) which both had a considerable influence on her painting.

 

She studied Education and worked as a primary school teacher in Cologne and Königswinter until  2002.

 

Her teachers in art include Anke Ikelle-Matiba/IMKA/Bonn, Prof. Ri Meuser/Troisdorf,  Prof. Dr. Qi Yang/Düsseldorf,  Ren Rong/Bonn, Harald Nägeli/Düsseldorf und Prof. Markus Lüpertz/Berlin and many other artists.

 

She is a member of the BBK Bonn  (the National Association of Artists),  IGBK (the International Association of Art), the Frauenmuseum (Women's Museum) in Bonn and the Kunstverein (Artists' Association) Bad Godesberg. 

 

Heidi Adrian's prevailing subjects are scenes taken from everyday life as well as from flora and fauna.

 

Her predominant techniques are painting in oil and acrylics, mixing techniques and collages on canvas and paper as well as relief printing and monotyping.

 

Heidi Adrian has been presenting her work at numerous exhibitions in various European countries.
